Missouri has added an experienced piece to their defensive line class with the commitment of Garden City (Ks.) Community College defensive end Shemar Pearl on Thursday.
Pearl is a familiar name to Missouri fans, the 6-foot-6, 240-pound prospect was part of the Tigers' 2019 class before academics forced him to go the JUCO route.
Coming out of high school, Pearl was rated a 5.6, three-star prospect at Plano West (Tex.).
As a freshmen at Garden City, Pearl played in 11 games and tallied 22 tackles, two sacks, seven tackles for loss, and four pass break-ups.
The Texas native chose the Tigers over the likes of Texas Tech, South Carolina, and Baylor.
Pearl becomes the 12th total commitment in Missouri's 2021 recruiting class and third defensive lineman, joining defensive end Travion Ford of Lutheran North (Mo.) and defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo out of DeSmet (Mo.).
