Tigers impress QB

Spring (Texas) Westfield quarterback Mark Spivey took his first official visit last weekend to Missouri and it’s one that he’s not soon to forget.

“After the basketball game we went over to the football locker room,” Spivey, a three-star dual-threat quarterback, said. “They had jerseys with our names on them and then when we walked out of the locker room the band and the cheerleaders were there.
“They then called our names out and we got to run out onto the field while they flashed our jersey numbers and names up on the scoreboard. It was really cool.”
Spivey said it was cool enough to commit – but he still does not have an offer from the Tigers.
“They’re going to let me know in about a week or 10 days if they’re going to take a quarterback,” he said.
But Missouri isn’t looking to be Spivey’s only option. He said Baylor is now in the picture and he’s set to visit Baylor this weekend.
“I don’t know much about them, other than they were at Kentucky before,” he said. “I hope to learn more.”
