Tigers cap off big week for Cooper

FORT WORTH, Texas - While two of his teammates, Spencer Reeves and Alfred Dupree put in work at Saturday's NIKE Training Camp at TCU, safety Keanon Cooper was nursing a minor injury and had to stand on the sideline.
Regardless, the 6-foot, 190-pounder still had a huge week in terms of recruiting. First, Oklahoma and Michigan offered earlier this week. Then on Thursday, he received his offer from LSU. He says that he's excited about all three and one really shocked him.
"I was most surprised by Michigan," Cooper said. "It's really because they haven't been sending me a lot of mail. As a child, I liked them a lot. I remember growing up liking Charles Woodson. My brother was an Ohio State fan, so when that game came on, we'd go back and forth about it."
Cooper says that all three of the schools could move into his favorites' list once he learns more about them. Right now, he's pretty set with a top four that he knows a lot about.
"My top four right now would probably be Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas Tech, and Kansas State," Cooper said. "That's mainly because those four have been contacting me the most and I know the most about them. I've got an idea of what they're about and if I go to their college, what that would be like."
"The new schools that have offered are definitely up there too, but I just want to talk to everybody to get an understanding of how they're looking at me. Those offers are up there, I just want to know more about them."
