Tigers after Cooper

Rivals250 safety Keanon Cooper has added yet another verbal scholarship offer and this time it's another one from the SEC.
Cooper, who had previously picked up offers from Kansas State, Alabama, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Purdue, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin, found out this week that LSU was going to be the next on the table. The 6-foot, 190-pounder says he spoke with coach D.J. McCarthy this week to find out about the new verbal offer.

"I found out last night," Cooper said. "I called the coaches yesterday and spoke with coach Mac. I don't know a lot about him but he seemed nice and as far as a program, I love the way they play. He just told me that I can add LSU to the list."
Cooper also has two schools leading the way.
"My top two schools are Wisconsin and Minnesota," Cooper said. "Wisconsin, they have a good program. I didn't know much about them until last year. Until I saw their bowl game, I didn't know a lot about their program. Talking to the coach Kerry Cooks, I feel like I see eye to eye with them."
"My recruiting coach for Minnesota, Tim Cross, he was one of the first school to come by and see us. I just like the enthusiasm from him and he tells me about the things I could accomplish there."
Over the next few weeks, Cooper says he plans to attend some combines. He does not have any other college visits set up. He says that as of today he'll definitely visit both Minnesota and Wisconsin among others.
