Tide take two major pledges

Huntsville (Ala.) Butler cornerback Ramzee Robinson, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, committed to Alabama today at the 7-on-7 passing camp in Tuscaloosa.

"Yes, I committed today," Robinson, who is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the state, said.
"I can't wait to get home and tell everybody. The big reason (for the commitment) would be the coaching staff. I came down here in the spring to watch practice and left wishing it was me out there practicing.

"I've always been a Alabama fan, I'm just so excited."

Robinson plays quarterback at Butler but is projected as defensive back at Alabama. He joins his high school teammate running back Kenneth Darby as early Crimson Tide commitments.
Alabama also picked up a major pledge on Friday from national top 250-player Kyle Tatum of Prattville, Ala. Tatum is 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds. He has been clocked at 4.8-seconds in the 40-yard dash and has a 320-pound bench press.
