Tide rolls up commitment

Nothing like topping off a big victory weekend with a big recruiting victory. That’s what Alabama did on Monday when they received a commitment from one of the nation’s better junior college cornerbacks.
David Scott of Jones County (Miss.) Community College committed to the Tide on Monday and word of his pledge rolled out on Tuesday.

"David committed yesterday (Monday)", said Jones CC Head Coach Parker Dykes told BamaOnline.com "He transferred here from North Carolina when they had a coaching change. He was redshirted his first year and played some last year for them. He came here and he did a great job for us. He had seven interceptions and about forty tackles. He'll be here with us at Jones until May when he graduates."
Scott, who is 6-foot, 180-pounds and runs a 4.4 forty signed with North Carolina out of Homestead, Fla. When North Carolina changed coaching staffs after last season, Scott decided to leave. He called Coach Dykes at Jones and came to play there.
