Three visits down for Rivals250 OL

Having already accumulated thirteen offers, many of them from powerhouse programs such as Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska and West Virginia, John Montelus of Everett, Mass. addressed the next stages of his recruiting process.
"I've visited West Virginia, Connecticut and Boston College so far," said the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Montelus. "I might go on a few more visits, but probably not any more camps or combines because I have to study for the SATs and I'm training very hard."

The tackle out of Everett (Ma.) seemed very happy about each of the schools he has already visited.
"My visit to UConn was great," he said. "We saw College Gameday at the basketball game, I got to watch some film with the coaches and we did the whole campus tour. Overall, its really nice and I like it but there are a lot of schools recruiting me so I want to keep my options open."
Before visiting UConn, Montelus discussed his first two visits of the year.
"I was very impressed by West Virginia's campus and academics," said Montelus. "I've been to Boston College a few times and I'm pretty familiar with their campus. There weren't any surprises, but it was a good visit."
The four-star, Rivals250 prospect does not have a current list of top schools, but he is beginning to formulate a timeline.
"I'm not comparing schools right now," he explained. "I'm going to try to have a top five or seven by the end of the summer. Sometime coming up I want to visit Florida, South Florida, Florida State and Ohio State."
Aside from the schools that have already offered, many others are still in the hunt.
"Some schools that haven't offered me yet that I've been in contact with are Southern Cal, South Florida and Notre Dame," Montelus said. "I want to learn more about Notre Dame. I know they're big rivals with Boston College and I've seen them on TV a few times."
