Three-star WR talks about visits

Three-star wide receiver Jamal Wilson out of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith is starting to look at official visits. The 5-foot-11, 176-pounder believes there are at least three schools he may visit and claims one is standing out.
"I'm talking to Northern Illinois, Marshall and Akron," he said. "If all goes right I'll probably wind up going to Northern Illinois.

"I'll go there because of the way my recruiter is talking to me and the way they'll use me in the offense. There's no doubt I may start as a punt returner when I get there and be used in the slot."
Wilson plans to take visits in January first though.
"I'm going to take them after Christmas break to all three of those schools," he said. "I just want to see what the facilities look like, the atmosphere and does it fit me. I want to get to know the coaches and players better."
The Hampton Roads prospect still holds an offer from Maryland as well. Is he looking at the Terrapins?
"I think I still have that offer, but I haven't been in touch with them in awhile."
Wilson hauled in 38 receptions for 500 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior.
"It was a great year," he said. "We strived to win state, but it didn't happen. We won the Eastern region and hushed all the doubters out there who thought we could never get past that level. I felt good about that."
"I think I improved a lot on my route running, vision and getting away from defenders."
