Three-star WR steps up his senior year

In just the last few weeks of the season, three-star wide receiver Markeith Summers out of Olive Branch, Miss. Rivals talked to the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder's head coach Jamie Mitchell to find out how his prospect has stepped up during his senior year.
"He's just been blistering for us," Mitchell said. "Last Friday he had three touchdown receptions and two interceptions, then the week before that he had two touchdowns and two interceptions. He's got some incredible numbers this year which includes just 17 receptions for 582 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also has six interceptions. He's been really good all year long and one of the smartest things I've done was deciding to play him on defense some this year.

"He's a difference maker and doing a great job for us all over the field. He certainly has improved a lot on the defensive side of the ball as he's come up with some huge hits. He's got a physical presence on the field that is very impressive."
Summers has yet to take an official visit.
"He hasn't talked about any favorites, but I think he'll get serious about some schools in the next couple weeks as he'll narrow down the list," he said. "I know he plans to take all five official visits. Right now he's focused on the season as the playoffs start this week."
