Scandrick is living up to his pre-season pub and is having an outstanding senior season helping Los Al to a 3-1 record.
On the season Scandrick has 19 receptions for 364 yards and four touchdowns. He has a very heady 19.6 yard per catch average with a long catch of 73 yards.
Scandrick has also been splendid as a kick returner so far this season. On six kickoff returns he has 265 yards with a long of 74 yards. His average per kick is a lofty 44.2.
It is easy to get lost in the shuffle at Los Al with all the other talented players but Scandrick is sharing center stage and D-I schools have taken notice.
According to Los Alamitos coach John Barnes Scandrick has picked up recent offers from Colorado State, Fresno State and Arizona. He already had offers on the table from Wyoming and Nevada.
“I think Orlando will have three to four Pac-10 offers before to long,” Barnes said. “Washington State and Oregon State have been by recently and I wouldn’t be surprised if one or both offer him soon.”
“Orlando is such a playmaker,” Scandrick said. “He can make plays in so many different ways.”
Scandrick was a double threat catching and running the ball in 2003.
As a receiver, Scandrick caught 29 passes for 290 yards and scored two touchdowns. Running the football, Scandrick scooted for 229 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 10.4 yards per carry.
Scandrick was an all-league selection for his efforts as a junior.
Scandrick and his Los Alamitos teammates will hook up against the very tough Carson Colts tonight (Thursday October 7th).
