Three-star will wait

Three-star wide receiver Chris Wellington (6-3, 180, 4.41) from Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft should probably be among the athlete prospects. This season Wellington has played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, strong safety, corner and linebacker so far in 2005.
Obviously Wellington brings a lot of athletic ability to the table. Wellington projects as a wide receiver or somewhere in the defensive backfield.

Wellington has put recruitment somewhat on hold while his team competes for the Los Angeles City Section Championship.
So far Wellington has offers on the table from Arizona, Oregon State, Washington, San Diego State and Mississippi State. He is still getting recruiting phone calls from UCLA.
"I haven't set any visits yet because I wanted to wait until after the championship game and that is December 9th," Wellington said. "So it looks like I will take my visits in January."
"If I had to pick a favorite right now it would be Arizona," Wellington said. "The reason being Arizona was the first to offer."
"I really don't have a favorite though," Wellington said. "I'm going to visit Arizona for sure."
Wellington and Taft are a perfect 11-0 after the first round of the playoffs. They will hook up with their archrival and nemesis, Lake Balboa (Calif.) Birmingham this Wednesday Evening.
