Three-Star wideout commits

Irvington, N.J. wide receiver Todd Dorcelus has made his decision and he'll be heading to one of the fastest-rising programs in the country next season.
"I committed to UConn on my visit this weekend," said the 6-foot-1, 172-pounder. "I really liked everything about it and I have a chance to come in and play early. I was hosted by Dan Davis who is also from New Jersey and he said he loves it."

Dorcelus chose UConn over offers from Indiana, Minnesota and Rutgers and heavy interest from NC State.
"NC State had offered, but they told me they were looking at other guys," he said. "That's cool with me because I wanted to go where I'm wanted. UConn has been on me since May and have always had someone call me or mail me. I think they can win the Big East in at least one of my four years."
Dorcelus was impressed with the way the players and coaches carried themselves.
"The whole environment is about championships," he said. "They carry themselves as champs and are very confident, which I like. It's also a very tight group and coach Marino, who is my wideouts coach, is a great guy. I feel like the weight of the world is off my shoulders."
