Three-star to continue to take visits

Three-star defensive tackle Nick Wood from Poway, Calif., is off to a fine senior season and his play thus far is backing up why he has seventeen offers on the table.
Wood has offers from Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona State, Idaho, Utah, Cal, Duke, UTEP, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Boston College, Hawai'i, Boise State, Colorado State and Army.

As a junior, Wood as a first-team all-league selection as a junior.
In three games so far his senior season, Wood has accounted for approximately 25 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
The phone has been ringing off the hook at the Wood household since September 1st as all 17 schools that have offered have called.
Wood took his first official visit to Boston College this past weekend.
"BC was awesome," Wood said. "Academically they are great and are No. 34 in one college review. They also plays solid football and are currently in the top 25.
"My trip was a lot fun," Wood said. "I just got a good feel for the players and what they are all about.
"I was obviously tempted to commit, but I want to take other visits before I make up my mind," Wood said. "My next visit will be to Arizona State on September 29th.
"I' will probably visit Colorado when they play Baylor (October 7th). I am also interested in North Carolina State, Wake Forest and Washington."
"I will probably make my decision after I take my visits," Wood said. "I'm planning on taking all five."
"I could end up making my decision late in the season."
The scouting report on Wood is he's a hard worker on and off the field. He plays the game with a non stop motor.
Rivals.com rates Wood as the nation's No. 35 defensive tackle prospect for the class of 2007.
Wood is also a member of the Rivals.com California top 100 team landing as the Golden State's No. 54 prospect at any position.
