Three-star TE wants more offers

Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward three-star tight end Kyle Hubbard does have scholarship offers from Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Bowling Green. However, the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder said if he had gone on the Ted Ginn Bus Tour, word is that he would have had a shot at doubling, maybe tripling that number.
"I went to the Virginia camp," Hubbard said.

"I was supposed to go on the Ginn Tour, but I couldn't because I had to work. Then all the coaches I talk to said if I would have gone on all those tours like for the Big Ten, all of them would have offered me. That just screwed me up."
Hubbard is also spending some of his summer playing AAU basketball. He's off this weekend to play in a tournament in Las Vegas, and while football is what he'll play in college, he knows that basketball helps him out on the gridiron.
"My basketball really helps me a lot, because that was my first love," he said. "It helps me with my footwork, and it keeps me in great shape. I was thinking about maybe playing basketball also in college. If I'm able to, I might."
While Hubbard not ready to name favorites, he is ready to talk about some of the things that will be important for him to make a decision sometime during the season.
"My top teams are Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia and Kentucky," he said. "But I'm not sure if I have a leader or not. I'm going to look to see if I can fit in at the school. I'm the type of dude that likes to make friends fast. I'm also going to look hard at playing time, too.
"My family will play a big role in my decision. I want my mom to be able to see the games."
