Three-star sets up trips

Three-star safety Lance Mitchell (6-2, 190, 4.6) from Pasadena (Calif.) Muir is the complete safety prospect, who is just as good against the run as he is the pass.
Mitchell played quarterback as a senior throwing for 1,475 and nine touchdowns. The athletic Mitchell is being recruited as a safety.

After an opening blowout loss to Westlake (Calif.) Oaks Christian, Muir rebounded to win eight out of nine games until losing eight players due to academics and then was drubbed in the quarterfinal playoffs to Ontario (Calif.) Colony 44-7.
Since then Mitchell has been hosting schools at his home and setting up visits.
"I have had in-home visits with Utah, Oregon State and Utah State," Mitchell said. "Arizona came by the school and wanted to set up an in house visit but I'm playing basketball so I met them at the school.
"I don't have any favorites yet," Mitchell said. "I just want to take my visits and figure it all out.
Mitchell has visits set to Oregon State on January 12th and Arizona for January 19th. Utah State wants him to visit their school but they couldn't get dated solidified during the home visit.
"I will probably make my college decision in late January or early February," Mitchell said. "I really want to take my visits and get a feel for the school."
Mitchell told Rivals.com that he has qualified and sent his paperwork to the NCAA clearing house.
Mitchell has offers on the table from Oregon State, Arizona, UNLV, Utah, and Utah State.
