Three-star safety starts to consider visits

Little has been heard from Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers safety Jovan Miller in over a month. The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder continues to hold a lone offer from Syracuse, but other schools are circling.
"I've still got an offer from Syracuse," he said. "Rutgers, Michigan State, Connecticut and Michigan are showing interest. Rutgers and Connecticut call pretty regularly while I get a lot of letters from Michigan.

"Coach Jackson from Rutgers says there's the chance for a possible offer. They are currently waiting on three running backs to decide and then they'll get back to me depending on what they do."
Currently the Scarlet Knights are the only team looking at the three-star prospect to play tailback.
"Personally, I don't think that's my natural position," he said. "I'm used to playing defense and think I'm better there, but I'll do whatever I have to."
Meanwhile, Miller is close to setting up an official to Syracuse.
"I'm trying to set one up pretty soon," he said. "I've been up there pretty regularly, but I want to go up again for an official. Right now I'd say I'm pretty wide open."
One other issue with the No. 8 prospect in New York is the risk he plays lacrosse at the next level.
"At the moment, I've got an 80% scholarship to Rutgers, so I'm looking at that," he said. "I'd say football is first, but everything will depend on the college I go to."
Miller had a solid season helping Christian Brothers to an 8-1 record.
"I didn't do as well on offense as I hoped, but defensively I had a good year," he stated. "I finished with 80 tackles and two interceptions. I think I was much more aggressive and physical this year. I wasn't hesitant about throwing my body around. On offense, I finished with 245 yards rushing and 201 yards receiving with 16 total touchdowns."
