What makes the Eagles, Scarlet Knights and Commodores the finalists?
"Boston College has a great winning tradition and Coach Siravo is my position coach and my recruiting coach. I really like him," he said. "Vanderbilt plays in the SEC and they've had a good winning tradition recently. I can tell they want me.
"At Rutgers, I have a good chance to play early and they have a good winning tradition recently. I can tell they want me too."
Simmons is rated the No. 35 safety in the country and No. 16 prospect in Virginia.
He held offers from Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Virginia and West Virginia as well.
