Three-star returns from Arizona

Three-star defensive end Chris Lewis (6-2, 237, 4.62) from Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West has been busy traveling these past two weeks taking his first two visits. He has also committed himself to two more visits.
Lewis has approximately 15 offers on the table but he is beginning to narrow things down a bit. He has already taken visits to Arizona State and Arizona. He has committed himself to take trips to Oregon and Fresno State. Lewis is looking at UCLA and Colorado for his last visits.

"I had a real fun time at Arizona State," Lewis said. "I liked the stadium, the coaches and the support that the football players get."
"At Arizona it was pretty much the same thing," Lewis said. "What set it apart was that big victory over UCLA."
"It was crazy," Lewis said. "The players were pumped, the fans were pumped, it was a huge upset."
"I will make up my mind after I take all my visits," Lewis said. "I could make up my mind in January or even on signing day."
Though Lewis missed three games, he still racked up approximately 40 tackles, nine sacks and one interception that he brought it back 20 yards for a touchdown.
Lewis has also rushed for around 320 yards and 35 carries as a running back.
Clovis West lost all three games that Lewis didn't play. Ever humble, Lewis was quick to add that five other starters were out at one time or another as well.
Our little conversation came to an abrupt end because Oregon coach Mike Bellotti was phoning. Perhaps to get a visit date solidified.
Lewis is rated by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 8 weakside defensive end prospect for the class of 2006. He is also a member of Rivals.com preseason California Top 100 landing as the Golden State's No. 39 prospect at any position.
