Three-star reaffirms commit

Three-star athlete prospect Anthony Wright (6-0, 180, 4.5) from Compton, Calif., has been a Colorado commitment since October, but that hasn't stopped some of the West's top programs from continuing their recruitment of the versatile athlete from Compton.
Wright took a visit to Arizona State a week ago and was scheduled to visit Washington this past weekend and Cal this coming weekend (Jan. 26th).

"I canceled my visit to Washington," Wright said. "I was also going to take a visit to Cal, but I canceled that one too.
"I'm a Buff," Wright said. "I'm going to Colorado and I'm happy that decision so I'm done with recruiting.
"I'm going to Colorado as a defensive back but I might play running back," Wright said. "My nickname is "The Athlete" because I can play all the skill positions.
"I only want to play," Wright said. "I will play wherever the coaches want me too and where I can help out the team.
As a senior, Wright racked up 102 tackles, four picks and had three fumble recoveries. Two of his interceptions he brought back to the house for touchdowns.
On offense, Wright rushed for 1,148 yards and scored eight touchdowns. He also caught 14 passes for 394 yards and five touchdowns out of the backfield.
Wright was selected to the Rivals.com California top 100 for the class of 2007 landing as the Golden State's No. 92 prospect at any position.
