Three star RB Smith now a done deal

Warren (Ohio) Howland running back Lance Smith committed to Wisconsin in August, but made an early December official visit to Minnesota. In recent weeks there seemed little doubt Smith would sign with the Badgers and after his official visit to UW he leaves absolutely no doubt.
"I loved it," Smith said. "(Wisconsin) is me. I'm staying with my commitment."

Smith saw plenty he liked in Madison.
"The atmosphere is crazy," he said. "I went to a basketball game and it was louder than any football game I've ever been to.
"I really liked the players too. Everything was great.
"I'll just wait till signing day now to sign with Wisconsin."
The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound Smith rushed for 1845 yards and averaged 9.8 per carry during his senior season. He scored 20 times. Smith is the No. 19 all-purpose running back and the No. 36 prospect in the state of Ohio in the Rivals.com player rankings.
