Three-star RB Simmons has officials in mind

Three-star running back Dejor Simmons out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Green Run had numerous offers. However, his scholarships have diminished as teams have filled up their classes and Simmons continues to look for a school.
"It's been about the same for him," Green Run head coach Shawn Wilson said. "West Virginia and East Carolina had offers out, but he didn't commit soon enough and they fell through.

"He still has offers from Connecticut, Richmond, Toledo, JMU, Liberty and a lot of I-AA's."
Simmons is starting to schedule official visits.
"He's got three officials set in January to James Madison, Connecticut and Toledo," he said. "I don't have the specific dates."
One new school has taken a look.
"Virginia has been down and Dejor would commit if they offer," he stated. "They have a good track program and they are an in-state school. He wants to go far enough away, but also somewhere that is close for his family to get there. They are talking to him regularly."
In approximately four games this season due to an ankle sprain, Simmons posted 600-yards rushing.
Wilson claims one other prospect is rising due to a strong senior season in 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end Jagger Blehm.
"He was getting interest from Duke earlier, but they got Jamal," he said. "His interest right now is from Delaware, JMU, ODU and William & Mary.
"A few things are brewing for him lately. It helps that he's got a 3.3 GPA."
Wilson went into detail about his emerging talent.
"It's kind of late," he said. "He did excellent this year though. He was second team all-district. He had 46 tackles, nine sacks and two field goal blocks."
