Three-star RB ready to start the season

Three-star running back C.J. Frederick out of Benson (N.C.) West Johnston holds four scholarships. The 5-foot-10, 188-pounder is preparing to start his senior season as numerous other colleges are keeping a close eye on him.
"I've got offers from East Carolina, Liberty, North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central," he said. "Recruiting has kind of slowed down since we've been in practice, but it should be picking up soon.

"A lot of schools want to come see me play this year. East Carolina said they are coming, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech too. I just started hearing from Oklahoma too."
Frederick confirmed plans to take visits, but nothing is set at this time.
"I plan on taking at least four visits," he said. "They will probably be later in the season. I'm just waiting to see what happens first."
The No. 69 running back in the country opens up the season on Friday.
"We've had three scrimmages and look pretty good," he said. "I think I've played pretty well.
"I've seen a huge improvement in my plan. My vision has gotten a whole lot better and I'm catching the ball better. My speed is improved as well."
