Three-star RB names two leaders

Three-star running back Malcolm Harris out of Paterson (N.J.) Paterson Catholic hasn't been heard from in over a month. At the moment, the 5-foot-9, 168-pounder has two leaders and some major players showing interest.
"Maryland and Purdue are at the top of my list right now," he said. "Both of them have offered. I like Maryland because of the offense and they have a nice environment down there. I went for a junior day and spoke to the coaches and they made me very interested in them.

"I don't know as much about Purdue. I have scheduled my first official visit though to them for September 23rd so that I can find out more and check them out."
Currently Harris is holding offers from a few other schools including Minnesota, Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Bowling Green. The Garden State running back has two other big schools looking at him.
"Miami and Notre Dame seem to be very interested in me," he said. "The coaches from Miami have told me I could probably jump right into their depth chart and compete. I do like them a lot. They have told me they like the way I play and that I have good vision. Miami wants me to visit sometime in November and then after that I assume they may offer.
"My coach spoke with Notre Dame and they are interested too. They haven't said quite as much about my chances of playing there."
If Miami does offer, would Harris jump at the opportunity?
"It probably would change things drastically," he said. "Miami is a top school in a very good conference. They are known for winning and I'd definitely give them a look."
Harris has time to potentially earn that offer as he doesn't plan to make a decision until after the season.
