Three-star RB heads to MAC

North Shore running back Deion Gilliam is joining those who chased him the past two seasons.
Gilliam (5-9, 165-pounds) rushed for 1,218 yards and 14 touchdowns his senior season in which he was out of most games by halftime. He averaged 11.1 yards per carry.

"I've committed to Central Michigan," he said. "They recuited one running back and I'm their guy. The coaches say that I should see a lot of action next season."
Gilliam visited Central Michigan with Westfield linebacker Chris Mitchell and cornerback Joseph Fontenot.
"He's a great kid, coachable and has natural speed," North Shore running back coach Clarence McKinney. "He's the fastest kid we've ever had and for being small he protects the ball very well. He will be the fastest kid on the field during any game."
