Three-star RB Fairley schedules official

Three-star running back Demetrius Fairley has helped Garner, N.C. to a 15-0 record and a state championship appearance. The big year on the field is helping the 5-foot-11, 195-pounder to gain interest. In addition, he has set his first official visit of the year.
"My team is going to the state championship," he said. "The season went kind of fast, but we got better every week and we have to step it up again.

"I think I've done well. I have over 20 touchdowns and 1,600 or 1,700-yards rushing. I lost track of my statistics. The season is going great. I really pushed myself in the offseason. Ever since we lost in the third round of the playoffs last year I've been training and I haven't stopped. I'm working hard every day to get better, I'm working on the little things."
On the recruiting front, Fairley has set his first official to his lone offer.
"I think I'm going to Western Michigan on December 17th."
In the meantime, other schools are interested.
"I just got in touch with UCLA and I could be in the process of setting an official visit there," he said. "UCLA is showing a lot of interest.
"In the second round of the playoffs I had my biggest game, 15 carries for 224-yards and two touchdowns. I sent that film to UCLA's coaches and they are evaluating it. They say they plan to offer somebody between me and a kid from Arizona soon."
So, does Fairley have a leader?
"I'm still open. I'm wide open."
