Three-star RB considers official visits

Three-star running back C.J. Frederick out of Benson (N.C.) West Johnston is starting to consider official visits. Who does the 5-foot-9, 188-pounder have in mind for trips in the near future?
"Actually I've already been to NC State and East Carolina for unofficial visits to check out some games," he said. "I'm thinking about taking official visits to NC State, East Carolina, Kentucky and I may go to Virginia Tech.

"East Carolina is the only one that has already offered. NC State is really interested, I talk to North Carolina a lot. Kentucky is sending a lot of mail. Most of them are waiting on my SAT which I took last Saturday."
Frederick confirmed he hasn't scheduled any visits to date, but plans to start setting them up this week.
Having already visited East Carolina and NC State for unofficials, what did he think?
"They are both great," he said. "The football atmospheres are wonderful and really exciting. I got to go on the field and watch warm-ups. I talked to the running back coach at East Carolina. That was a pretty good experience. I talked to the offensive coordinator at State too."
The No. 28 prospect in the Tar Heel state posted 150-yards last week, as West Johnston is 3-4.
"Everything is going good," he said. "We're trying to get our team together. I'm doing pretty well. My running style has changed a lot. I've gotten more powerful this year, it's a lot different and I'm scoring a lot more."
