Three-Star RB Commits

The Boston College Eagles now have five verbal commitments from five different states.
"Jo-Lonn committed to BC this morning," said Syracuse (N.Y.) Corcoran Head Coach Tim Schmidt of his star running back, 6-foot, 215-pounder Jo-Lonn Dunbar. "He visited there last week and really liked everything about it. He liked the coaches, players he met, academics and the fact that BC always has great offensive linemen and produce terrific running backs."

Dunbar, who rushed for 1,200 yards and scored 14 touchdowns as a junior and has 2,700 yards rushing and 31 TDs in his career, chose BC over offers from Pitt, Michigan State, Syracuse, Rutgers and others.
"He wanted to get out of the area and see another place but he didn't want to go too far," said Schmidt. "His goal is to play in the NFL, but academics were also important to him because if he doesn't make it he wants something to fall back upon."
Dunbar is a big, bruising back with lots of power and good speed.
"He has good vision and runs with power," said Schmidt. "For a big back he has quick feet and cuts back well. He also likes contact and loves to make defenses pay for tackling him."
