Three-star QB still waiting on first offer

Though Dallas (Texas) Parish Episcopal School quarterback Brant Costilla is still waiting on his first offer, it is not for lack of hard work on his part. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder has been attending several camps this summer in preparation for the season and now he is ready to get going on his senior campaign.
"I attended a bunch of camps over the summer including Rice, Baylor, Colorado, Wyoming, Boise State and Louisville," Costilla said. "This summer I've been mainly working on reading the defense better and working on better footwork."

Despite still waiting on that first offer to come in, Costilla has been receiving plenty of interest from several programs, a few of which are schools that he was able to camp at.
"Currently I have been receiving most interest from Louisville and Rice," he said. "I have also been receiving stuff in the mail from Penn and Connecticut."
After throwing for over 1,500 yards as a junior, Costilla hopes to build on those numbers and build on his team's success in 2008. He recently finished up a 4-day lock-in at his school in preparation for the season.
"We gained 10 players this year so hopefully we can go all the way this year instead of getting knocked out in the first round," he said. "I'm really excited for the season to begin."
