Three-star QB is MAC bound

You can officially put Willoughby (Ohio) South three-star quarterback Patrick Nicely down as another super steal for a MAC program. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder made his decision today, deciding to end the process before his senior season.
"We visited Ohio University Saturday and they were great," Patrick's father, Tim Nicely, said.

"Then we went to Bowling Green to visit the campus today.
"Patrick made his decision to commit to BGSU. I feel that he can play anywhere in the country. He has all the physical and mental skills to become something very special. I think he felt the he needed to make an offer before our first game Friday."
And with that Nicely is heading to the MAC. Many schools – like Ohio State, Boston College, Northwestern, Stanford and others – were showing heavy interest in Nicely, but they wanted to see a few games in his senior season.
But after watching Nicely's junior tape, Rivals.com analyst Barry Every didn't need to see anymore.
"He is real mobile for a pro-style quarterback and seems to look over the whole field," Every said. "He was one of the biggest surprises we saw on film this past spring."
Nicely put up big numbers as a junior. He threw for 2,150 yards and 20 touchdowns. He hopes to better those numbers as a senior.
"Our defense is looking real good," Nicely said. "The offense has always been there with the shotgun offense. It's always going to score a lot of points. Our strengths are probably our defensive line is strong and aggressive. Our wide receivers and tight ends are really good. We have probably the most weapons out of any team in northeast Ohio."
