Three-star QB down to two

Patrick Nicely is ranked the No. 20 pro-style quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com and has attracted plenty of attention over the course of the last few months.
[Nicely has a good frame at 6-foot-4 and 205-pounds. He can beat opposing defenses when things break down and he does a good job of finding open receivers.

He has narrowed things down to two schools from the Mid-American Conference and said a decision might be coming soon.
"It's between Akron and Ohio right now," Nicely said. "From Akron, I really like coach (J.D.) Brookhart and how he's a hard-nosed guy. They've just put $500 million into their campus and everything. Obviously they have a new stadium and the student union is beautiful. There are some other little things I like about them.
"I really like coach (Frank) Solich from Ohio. They have a real campus-like feel to it. It's not like you're just in a city."
Nicely said he plans on making his decision "probably sometime in the next six days." He is not leaning in a certain direction and said he has to sit down and put some thought into it before he is ready to make an announcement.
How would he see himself fitting in at each of those schools?
"At Ohio hopefully I would have a good chance to help turn that program around," he continued. "I'd like to help make a name for the school.
"At Akron there's a chance to put up awesome numbers in their offense and help them get to the next level."
As a senior Nicely passed for 2,300 yards with 24 touchdowns and only four interceptions.
