Three-star pulls the trigger

Three-star wide receiver/cornerback Chris Wellington 6-3, 180, 4.41) from Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft had offers from Arizona, Oregon State, Washington, Nevada and Mississippi State. Wellington has made his college choice.
"Chris committed to Nevada," Taft offensive coordinator Derwin Henderson said. "Nevada did a great job recruiting him and laying out their plans for him."

"It was surprising that Chris chose Nevada over Arizona and Oregon State," Henderson said. "It is a testament to the outstanding job that Nevada actually did."
"All three schools did a great job recruiting Chris."
The Wolf Pack gets a guy who had to play in the shadow of four-star wide receiver Jamere Holland, but Wellington is a huge talent and has a very high ceiling.
Wellington ended the 2005 season with 24 receptions for 460 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 19.2 yards per catch. On defense, he racked up 29 tackles, two picks and two fumble recoveries.
The Wolf Pack gets a good one here.
