Three-star prospect plans busy July

Sometimes the film just doesn't do a player justice and a first-hand, in-person look tells the real story. Such is the case with Grand Prairie (Texas) South Grand Prairie wide receiver Will Adams. Adams was easily one of the top wide receivers at the Fort Worth Nike Camp several weeks ago by showing a complete mix of crisp routes, good speed and great hands.
Adams is now hoping that similar performances at college camps translate to some more offers. Currently he is up to three after impressing the Louisiana-Monroe staff at its camp.

"I've just been going to camps and working out," Adams said. "I've been to the Louisiana-Monroe camp, UTEP, Oklahoma and Rice. I got offered by Louisiana-Monroe right after the camp."
Several other schools are actively recruiting the 6-foot standout and the list is very divers. Missouri, Michigan State, Air Force, Tulsa, Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Louisiana Tech are a few of the schools that are very interested.
As good as he is in the camp setting, Adams is making it a point to show off his abilities to as many coaches as possible. Consequently, he has a busy July scheduled.
"I'll be going to the Texas A&M camp on the 13th," he said. "I'll be going to the Louisiana Tech camp on the 17th, the Southern Miss camp on the 18th, the LSU camp the 21st and 22nd and the Baylor camp on the 25th."
As a competitor, Adams looks forward to all of his summer opportunities.
"I like the camps because it gives the coaches a chance to see what I can do," he said. "I approach it as I'm always trying to get better and I'm trying to impress the coaches to get me a scholarship offer."
The camp circuit isn't the only thing keeping Adams busy this summer. A rigorous workout regimen is also a major focus.
"We work out with team at 6:30 every morning," he said. "I work out three times a week after that by myself, running stairs, parachute running and things like that. I can tell I'm gotten much more explosive."
With as many eyes as will be on Adams in the coming weeks, it is hard to imagine that more offers won't be coming his way.
