Three-star picks up another offer

Three-star linebacker Luke Laolagi (6-2, 210, 4.6) from Lake Balboa (Calif.) Birmingham and his Birmingham teammates have turned their season around. After starting the season with two tough losses against the area’s number one and two rated teams Birmingham has won their last two against two other rated CIF-SS team one of them was CIF SS D-II champs Newhall (Calif.) Hart.
Laolagi is one of the reasons for the turn around. Over the last two games Laolagi has played football like a man possessed. He was selected by the Los Angeles Daily News as the Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Hart.

San Diego State must have been in attendance last Friday evening because the Aztecs are the latest school to offer the talented linebacker a scholie.
Recruiting is really heating up for Laolagi. Both Oregon and Oregon State have called Laolagi this week. UTEP called last week.
Laolagi was in attendance last Saturday for the UCLA/SDSU game and he will be showing up at the Rose Bowl once again this coming Saturday when UCLA takes on Arizona.
Birmingham will take on the very tough Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey football team this Friday Night at Birmingham.
The word is Utah Ute head coach Urban Meyer will be one of many coaches in attendance for the game.
Besides San Diego State; Utah, Nevada and San Jose State have also offered Laolagi a scholarship.
