Three-star Perry plans in-state visit

Three-star lineman Casey Perry out of Durham (N.C.) Hillside plans to take a visit this weekend. As the 6-foot-3, 295-pounder awaits more offers, he broke down his plans and the latest on his season to date.
"I really wanted to see that East Carolina-Virginia Tech game, but I decided I'm going to North Carolina this weekend," he said. "They invited me to that.

"I'm also talking to NC State, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Hampton and Western Carolina. Everyone is waiting on my defensive film. The first three games I played offense, but now that it's later in the season I'm going to be playing defense in a three technique."
Perry is contemplating more visits too.
"Right now North Carolina is the only visit, but I may take a trip to Gardner-Webb next Saturday and I want to get to Clemson too to see them."
What is Perry hoping for out of the visits?
"I want to see how the colleges are," he said. "I definitely want to feel comfortable somewhere for the next four or five years. On the academic part, my plan is to study biomedical engineering."
Heading into this week, Perry is expected to start seeing time on defense, but prior he's only been on the offensive line.
"I've been doing pretty well," he said. "I'm practicing hard, but I'm playing faster this year and with more of an attitude. I've definitely stepped my game up this year a lot. I'm getting way more pancakes than I have."
