So, what sticks out about the trio?
Texas Tech: "I just like that they have great tradition. The game day atmosphere down there is good and I have a good relationship with the coaches. I've been talking to their quarterback commit Davis Webb. He seems cool. I haven't visited yet, but I'm talking to the coaches and I know a lot about the school. I plan on going up there before the summer is over with. I plan to schedule the visit this week."
Memphis: "I like that Memphis is my hometown school. The opportunity to stay close to my family and friends is good. The opportunity to play early is nice too."
Middle Tennessee State: "Middle Tennessee is the opportunity to play early. I have a good relationship with the coaching staff. They could really use me as a freshman coming in."
Though he confirmed he's focused on the three finalists, he is not ruling out other possibilities if offers come in.
Meanwhile, Billingsley is considering a trip to Middle Tennessee State as well sometime before a decision is made. He discussed a possible timetable for his final decision.
"It really doesn't matter," he said. "I can say it'll likely be by the first weekend of the season, so it may be a month at the most."
