"I just set another visit," Acrey said. "I will visit Colorado State for a mid-week visit on December 14th with my teammate Isaiah Burel."
"I'm going to be spending the next two weeks doing research on all of the colleges that are recruiting me and see how they stand to fit my needs," Acrey said. "I'm looking for a team with good chemistry. I think it is important how coaches treat their players."
"Academically I want to go into pre-med," Acrey said. "So the school has to be strong in that department."
East Valley met their Waterloo in a quarter-final contest against Anaheim (Calif.) Esperanza but finished the season 10-1-1. Acrey was a major reason for their success.
Acrey finished the season by racking up 139 tackles, for an average of 11 tackles a game. He also had two blocked kicks, one sack and one fumble recovery.
