Three-star LB Stallings remains patient

Three-star linebacker Rhakeem Stallings out of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith picked up two more offers. Stallings is still waiting for a BCS team to join the fray.
"NC Central came last Sunday and then James Madison offered this past weekend to make it eight offers," he said. "Right now I'm just taking all of them into consideration to choose wisely."

Stallings halted all visits in the past month, but continues to hear from a number of schools.
"I've talked to Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech is still keeping in touch, Virginia, Connecticut, so many others," he said. "Virginia Tech has one linebacker on their board and they'll pursue me if he doesn't go to Tech.
"Most of the other schools are asking me to be patient and most want me to get my grades up a bit so they can offer."
Is Stallings willing to wait?
"I'm just waiting right now," he said. "Most of them have said they will send me on official visits when the time comes."
With recruiting beginning to take a back seat, Stallings is preparing for practice, which starts on Monday.
"I'm just focusing on our season," he said. "I'm just trying to focus on staying healthy cause I've got a bit of a hamstring injury.
"The team looks great though and we're gelling together. We're just trying to gel and get that chemistry down."
For Stallings, this season is a big change for him.
"Actually, last year I was playing all timid and nervous," he said. "That was my first year starting on varsity, and now I know everything, I can just relax."
