Three-star LB returns from Oregon

Three-star linebacker Kevin Garrett (5-11, 205, 4.6) from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne returned from his visit from Oregon on a cloud. He was very impressed with Oregon, so much that Garrett has narrowed down his school choices to two.
“I enjoyed my trip to Oregon a lot,” Garrett said. “Because I enjoyed my visit to Oregon so much I have narrowed down my college choices to two.”

“I will choose between Arizona and Oregon,” Garrett said. “I will visit Arizona on December 3rd and make up my shortly afterward.”
“I liked the Oregon campus,” Garrett said. “The team is like a family.”
“I feel I can be a part of the Oregon family and contribute to the program,” Garrett said. “They also have my major, which is communications and journalism.”
“I was close to committing to Oregon,” Garrett said. “I just wanted to be smart and take one more visit for a comparison.”
“I haven’t taken my trip to Arizona yet,” Garrett said. “But I think (Arizona) Coach (Mike) Stoops is going to turn the program around.”
“I have a lot of family in Arizona and it’s close to home,” Garrett said. “I have an aunt in Tucson and other family in Tempe.”
“I had a visit scheduled to Cal,” Garrett said. “But I won’t be taking that visit now.”
On the season Garrett has accumulated over 100 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, five sacks, four fumble recoveries (one that he returned 40 yards for a touchdown), and because of his bone jarring hits two forced fumbles.
Garrett has offers from Arizona, Oregon, Washington State, Utah and San Jose State.
Garrett and his surprising Narbonne teammates will take on another surprising team Chatsworth in the opening round of the playoff this Friday Evening.
Rivals.com named Garrett to its Preseason California Top 100 team for the class of 2005 landing as the Golden State’s number 91 prospect at any position.
