Three-star LB Brady Pretzlaff Michigan State bound

After backing off his longtime commitment to Minnesota on December 13th, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before Gaylord (Mich.) linebacker Brady Pretzlaff was going to commit to Michigan State.

The Spartans got their guy on National Signing Day.

The three-star prospect originally committed to Minnesota on the spot way back on January 19th while attending a Jr. Day with the Gophers' staff. At the time, Pretzlaff had notable offers from Illinois and Central Michigan.

However, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect put together a monster senior season, recording 126 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and eight sacks.

He originally picked up an offer from Michigan State in September and was re-offered by new Spartans head coach Jonathan Smith on December 1st.

An official visit with the Spartans happened transpired the weekend of December 8th and now the Michigan native will continue his football career with the Spartans.

Michigan State's recent hire of Joe Rossi at defensive coordinator is also notable. Rossi is coming over from Minnesota and was Pretzlaff's main recruiting contact on the Gophers' staff, so that relationship is long established.
