Three-star Ivey decides

Three-star athlete Lamar Ivey made a decision over the weekend. The Mebane (N.C.) Eastern Alamance prospect decided to stay in-state for college.
"I committed to East Carolina," he said. "I liked the coaches a lot and it's not too far from home. Plus, some of my former teammates are there too.

"Matt Thompson and Bill Wallace let me know how it was up there and that they liked the whole campus atmosphere a lot. It helped."
The 6-foot-1, 182-pounder selected the Pirates over offers from VMI and West Virginia.
According to Ivey, East Carolina is recruiting him at one of two positions.
"They are looking at me either as a cornerback or slot receiver," he said. "They haven't really gotten into playing time because of the new coaches."
