After nearly revealing his commitment to Maryland on his official visit last month, three-star Roswell, Ga. wide receiver Jayden Comma couldn't wait any longer and officially announced his commitment to the Terrapins in a video reveal on Rivals.com. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect said he's happy the decision is finally official and public.

"I'm really excited because this decision I've been thinking about it my whole high school career," Comma said. "To finally do it was is relieving and it's also a blessing."

Comma has actually been committed for a month, as he informed the Maryland coaches of his decision on Oct. 4.

"I let the coaches know the day after my official visit," Comma said. "When I was up there I liked it a lot and we set it up for me to announce today. I've known that I've wanted to go to Maryland I just hadn't told anyone publicly but now I'm all Terp."

The official visit to College Park was the icing on the cake for Comma, who said he felt like a priority from the moment he stepped on campus.

"When I went up there I was so well known by everyone," he said. "I was taken care of by my player host and the whole coaching staff showed me a lot of love. It made me feel like home and that's the feeling I had been waiting for."

Another major factor that helped put Maryland in the mix until the end was the school's early evaluation of Comma. He didn't start receiving FBS interest until March, when the Terrapins stepped up with an offer.

"They were my first big offer and that's why they've been one of my favorites," he said. "I had some other teams that were in the mix but the fact that they stuck with me to this day and they stayed on me early made a difference. As soon as they offered me I knew I meant a lot to them. It just made me feel like they wanted me more."

Comma is just another in a long line of Georgia prospects to commit to Maryland this year. He joins fellow three-star Peach State wide receivers Sean Nelson and Carlos Carriere, as well as three-star athlete Jalen Browder. The quartet is already dubbing itself the "Georgia Four" and Comma said going far from home is made much easier knowing he's not the only one making the bold decision.

"There's some talent from down here that wants to take it to the Big 10 and we'll just build with it," Comm said. "It's exciting to me to know that there's other Georgia guys going up and I know we are going to keep building a relationship together."

Comma is commitment No. 20 for Maryland in the class of 2017.
