Three-star Florida WR returns from Purdue

Xavier Reese got a late start to his trip up north this weekend but that didn't put a damper on things. The three-star wide receiver initially missed the flight to his official visit to Purdue but when he finally did get to West Lafayette, he had a great time.
"It went really well actually," Reese said of his visit. "I liked the campus area. I liked the coaching staff, especially Coach Hope, whose going to be the head coach after this year. I like the depth chart at wide receiver so if I go there, things are good as far as playing time."

After missing his flight, Reese got a late start to the weekend but packed a lot of activity into the next day and a half.
"I missed my flight so I got there kind of late Friday night," he said. "Saturday I woke up, had breakfast, met the coaches and academic advisors and then headed out to the stadium for the game. The game had a really good atmosphere. After that I met my host and we went out with most of the football team."
Despite a shaky 2-6 record to the season so far, Reese came away with a lot of confidence in what the Boilermakers are capable of as well as what he could bring to the table.
"They're 2-6 but they're actually not too far away from being 6-2 with just a couple plays here and there," he said. "Talking to Coach James about the offense and the depth chart was good. It was actually making it more intriguing, with the depth chart situation and with the players and the opportunity to come in early."
Despite his strong interest in the Purdue program, the big athletic wideout is in no hurry to make his decision.
"I want to just go on and make sure I take my time," he said. "This is a real big decision for me. I want to make sure I check out all my options and make sure it's the right school for me."
Is Purdue still on top of Reese's list?
"Purdue is on top, yeah of course."
