Three-star DT planning a few visits

Three-star defensive tackle Jalen Lawrence has kept a relatively low profile. However, the Macon (Ga.) Westside lineman plans to take a few visits to some of the schools that have already offered him before the summer is out.
"I've been working out since the end of May," he said. "I haven't done any camps, but I plan to take a few visits in July. I plan to visit Texas Tech, Colorado State, Georgia State and possibly Middle Tennessee State."

Lawrence holds offers from all of those schools as well as Southern and Troy.
With plans to visit a number of schools, Lawrence noted the big thing he is looking for is education.
"I'm looking at the academic aspects of it," he said. "If I go to Texas Tech, I'd want to go into engineering. If not, I'd like to try pre-med."
Lawrence also discussed the time table for his final decision.
"If I do decide this summer, it'll probably be late July or in August, but I don't think I will," said Lawrence. "Colorado State wants me to take an official visit during the season. I'm trying to look at all of the schools to see which one is best for me."
