Three-star DT getting new interest

Huntsville, Texas defensive tackle Adam Ayala currently holds two scholarship offers from Louisiana Tech and Colorado State. As a strong senior season winds down, Ayala is seeing some his recruiting attention picking up, from a couple of schools in particular.
"Northwestern and Houston have been talking about being close with an offer," Ayala said. "They are waiting on some other guys and waiting on some film from me also. I just sent it in to them so I hope to hear from them soon. "

The Northwestern offer in particular is of interest to Ayala, especially due to the Big Ten affiliation and the academic prestige.
"I talk to Northwestern the most," he said. "I am pretty interested in them. They have a good academic program. They are in a bigger conference than my other offers too."
While Ayala is interested in the schools that are showing some increased interest, he is also taking a close look at the programs that have already offered scholarships. In fact, he already has visit dates set up.
"I plan on visiting both of my offers," he said. "I am going to (Louisiana) Tech on December 5 and Colorado State on December 19."
What will Ayala be looking for on those visits?
"I just want to see how the atmosphere is around the schools," he said. "I just want to see if I can spend the next few years of my life there, plus a winning tradition at the school would be nice. I think academics would be the most important thing I'm looking for."
