Three-star DT cuts his list

Philadelphia (Pa.) Roman Catholic defensive tackle Jewhan Edwards had planned to take his second official visit over the weekend to Syracuse. The 6-foot-1, 338-pounder instead took the ACT. Does he have plans to reschedule?
"I already have told the coaches at Syracuse I had to reschedule," he said. "I plan to take it sometime in January.

"They are one of three schools I'm looking at along with Minnesota and West Virginia. I'm going to visit West Virginia in January too."
The three-star prospect discussed what sticks out about the Golden Gophers, Mountaineers and Orangemen.
"Basically I like these schools because of the people and how they run the programs," he said. "I'd probably say that Minnesota leads of the group since I've been there and met all the players. It seems like they are starting over fresh."
This season the No. 40 defensive tackle in the country had a solid year.
"I did great," he said. "I had a bunch of tackles for loss, five sacks and a punt block in the championship game which we won.
"It was a great way to end my senior year. I was pretty happy. I improved and was able to get off my blocks better, that was the big difference this season."
