Three-Star DE/LB Remains Open

Weakside defensive end Xavier Adibi of Hampton (Va.) Phoebus, has three offers on the table but is in no hurry to make a decision.
“I am going to wait until national signing day to make my decision known.”

This summer Xavier has only been to one camp. He attended the one-day prospect camp at North Carolina State.
Last year as a junior, Adibi was all over the field chasing opposing quarterbacks and anyone else who had the ball with his 40-yard dash speed of 4.6 seconds. He had more than 100 tackles to go along with his 20 sacks and one interception.
Those stats earned Adibi some impressive awards at the end of the season. He was named first team defensive end in the eastern region, and was named to the VHSCA Group 3-A all-state first team defensive line.
A lot of schools are interested in Adibi, but what schools does he like?
“My favorites are Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, and Clemson," said the 6-foot-3, 215-pound defensive end. “I don’t really have a favorite, so I would say my options are wide open. Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech all have offered.”
The schools that are eager to know if they will get one of his official visits will have to wait.
“I'm not sure right now who my official visits will go; I have a lot of time to think about it.”
