Three-star defensive end Giovani Francois took his third and final official visit this past weekend. The Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise prospect took a trip to Temple and now is down to two schools.
"It was great," he said of the Temple visit. "I've never been up that far north before, it's a big city and I got to see the Liberty Bell and all the statues. I got to have my first Philly cheesesteak."
What about the visit?
"They have a lovely campus," he said. "They've been around for over 100 years and I like being around Coach Addazio. He's a great guy from Florida and he told me how I fit into their team and how he wants me. I like that their assistant was coaching in the NFL last year."
Temple has made the cut and is one of two finalists for Francois joining Florida International.
"My choice is between FIU and Temple," he said. "It's one program that's been around 10 years and another that has been around over 100 years. Both schools are totally opposite, but that's what I like. This weekend is going to be tough on me, but I've got to find the right school for me. I'll probably decide on Saturday."
