Three-star DE Black responds to Kelly news

The departure of Brian Kelly to Notre Dame surprised the Bearcats commitments. Local three-star end Jibreel Black out of Cincinnati (Ohio) Wyoming gave his take on the news.
"It kind of surprised me," he said. "I think it surprised everybody. I guess it's an opportunity he wanted to take."

Black remains firm that he is sticking by Cincinnati.
"I'm still a Bearcat, I'm still solid," he said. "I still like the fact I have an opportunity to play for a great university and play in front of my home town, in front of people I know. I just like the fact it's a great city and I'll be able to do that."
Black confirmed he hasn't talked to Cincinnati's coaches since the news broke.
The No. 25 prospect in Ohio led Wyoming to a 13-1 season and a regional and league championship.
"We did pretty well," he said. "I did well too. I finished with 61 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery."
