Three-star DB has two visits in mind

Three-star safety Andre Simmons out of Lorton (Va.) South County hasn't visited anywhere in awhile. However, the 6-foot-1, 193-pounder is beginning to think about fall trips and has two schools in mind.
"I think I really want to schedule one of my official visits to Rutgers and probably one to Vanderbilt," he said. "Those are two schools I've talked to about it already, I'm not 100% sure on who the others might be.

"I think I'm interested in both of those schools. Vanderbilt academically is one of the best schools and it's in the best conference in the nation. Rutgers has great facilities and academically they are good."
Simmons continues to sit on eight scholarships from Boston College, Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Virginia and West Virginia. Is anyone else close to pulling the trigger?
"Notre Dame, Michigan and Connecticut have talked about offering a lot, but I guess depending on what other players do they may come back to me."
Simmons maintains no favorites at this time.
Meanwhile, football is nearly back in session for the No. 29 safety in the country.
"We start two-a-days on Tuesday," he said. "I think we'll be fine. We have a hard schedule, but I can tell I'm stronger, faster and smarter. I'm working hard on my coverage and reading coverages better."
Simmons and South County open the season on August 28th.
