Three-star DB has great trip

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Chaffey three-star free safety Aleem Harris (6-3 ½, 220, 4.45) has returned from his trip to Arizona, but he didn’t commit. That’s not to say the temptation to say yes to the Wildcats wasn’t intensely strong.
“I was tempted to commit to Arizona on the spot,” Harris said. “But my family wanted me to check things out with Oregon State at to offer.”

“The trip to Arizona was great and I liked what I saw,” Harris said. “It was a plus that the Wildcats won.”
“They (Arizona) treated me great,” Harris said. “I didn’t commit to them because like I said I want to see what’s out there.”
“That’s not to downplay Arizona,” Harris said. “I thought they were great.”
Harris will leave for an official visit to Oregon State this Friday and if everything goes all right then he will decide between Oregon State and Arizona.
New Mexico has entered the picture and if Harris has any lingering doubts he could take a trip to the Lobo campus.
Harris is a December grad and he will participate in spring ball. He has three years to play two for the school that signs him.
The scouting report on Harris is he covers a lot of space and plays hard whistle-to-whistle. He’s very physical and tough against the run.
Harris is also excellent in pass coverage. He has the size to stay with the taller wide receiver that are so much in vogue today and he has the speed to cover the faster, swifter receiver. Case in point, Harris even played some cornerback in 2004.
Chaffey is brought down a lot and plays a hybrid linebacker because of his tackling skills. His two forced fumbles gives you an indication of Harris’ hitting ability.
